Superman!!!

This weekend the real Superman came out. Who is he? None other than Dwight Howard. A seven foot black man, the starting center for the Orlando Magic, who might just be stronger than Superman. After throwing down an unreal dunk in the Slam Dunk contest, he ripped off his jersey and had a Superman jersey on and threw a cape of the back of the jersey. Before the crowd knew if Dwight Howard ran towards the hoop and threw down a ferocious slam dunk with Superman form and Superman power! It was unreal. Not too mention, he finished the competition off with two more great slams, and won by a landslide yielding 78% of the vote.

I hate the argument that professional athletes get paid too much money. Because they provide so much joy in so many people's lives. Yea of course it can be argued that professional athletes make too much money, but they deserve it! They bring in more revenue for the companies, leagues, and teams that they play and work for then their salary even pays them. Especially the superstars! Its getting to a point in collegiate athletes that they might have to start paying the players, I actually believe that they should have a larger monthly budget then they are currently allowed by the NCAA. I feel it is important that the players get rewarded for the joy that they bring to the fans and the university that they play for. Think about the Heisman Trophy winners and the All-Americans. They legally get paid the same amount of money every month that any other athlete on scholarship for that sport gets, but they bring in way more revenue for the university and the sport than their teammate who never sees the field does. By no means should we be paying these college athletes anything near the seven figure range, but I think it is reasonable for the best collegiate athletes to get paying one or two thousand dollars a month. I mean it is only fair. People who disagree with me would probably argue that the education their receiving is enough, but a star collegiate athlete, especially in a big sport like football or basketball brings in way more than $150,000 in revenue for their school and their sport. I knowIts just my opinion, but I think it is something that the NCAA should consider.
