A Facebook Age...

Who would of imagined that a site like www.facebook.com would be as successful as it is today? I for one, expected nothing of the sort. In hindsight though, Facebook is a great idea! The purpose of the site is to meet people, have an easier way to keep in touch with your friends, and to expand your social network. The site has been growing like crazy. Young teenagers are now itching at the opportunity to create their own Facebook account. Facebook has gotten so big to the point where really anyone between the ages of 15-25 has a Facebook account. If someone doesn't have an account, the next question is immediately why don't you have a Facebook?

Its amazing that a site like this can be so successful so early. But it really does provide a great service. The best part is, it is free! It is growing at such a rapid rate, that Microsoft actually invested in Facebook for $240 million to start consistently running ads on the website. The website is growning at a rate of about 200,000 people everyday. With the age gap always widening. Professionals in the workplace are now starting to create Facebook accounts. If the company is making $30 million in profits right now, I can only imagine what this company with make in 2008 or how about in 5 years? By 2010, do you think Facebook could be making a $1 billion in profits? I don't think it is out of the question.

I am so amazed with people like Zuckerburg that are the brain behind great ideas like Facebook. I am sure when he started this company, he did not expect Facebook to blow up like this. Zuckerburg could be starting a trend for the next decade. Many people are looking for the quick and easy way to be successful and Zuckerburg proved that it is not that difficult. Five years ago, I would have never imagined that a website like Facebook would become more popular than America Online's Instant Messager program, but it has...
