Performance Art...

Performance Art is a beautiful thing. Especially in a video like this one, where the performance is more or less completely random. There are four pieces to performance art: the performer's body, the performer's relationship with the audience, space, and time.

To the best of my knowledge I don't believe I have ever encountered performance art. Although, I think it would be something neat to see. I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Marisa Miller demonstrating performance art, like she has in the past in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition. Just imagine randomly driving through a remote town in Iowa and seeing Marisa Miller on the side of the street demonstrating performance art. Now that would be a sight to see.

But on the more serious side I think the purpose of performance art is to make people think. It puts a different perspective on art and on life. If you saw someone demonstrating performance art, it would definitely make you pause for a minute and think about what that person was doing and what he or she was trying to depict. Viewing performance art definitely has a lot of value. Refer back to what I said a few sentences ago, when I said it puts a different perspective on art or on a situation. I don't want to look for performance art, I just want to randomly run into it. I wonder what my reaction will be when I see it. I guess I will just have to wait until then...
