The March to the Finish...

I feel like many people are motivated by small goals in life, that lead to getting through the bigger more long term goals. Everything that is desired in life is not handed over to you on a silver platter. One must prove they deserve it. One must prove that they have earned it.

I feel like life is full of many open roads. One turns the corner and sees the open road ahead, but how does one finish? Does he or she put his or her head down and give it everything they got to get to the finish line first or would one rather coast? Life is made up of so many small decisions that end up making the biggest impact on the most important decisions in life. Goal-setting is what motivates people to perform. It is what motivates people to get better. If people didn't set goals, people wouldn't be as successful.

I heard a saying one time from a mom of a friend of mine who said something like this, "Life can easily be compared to a book. Life is made up of many different chapters. Each chapter represents an event in your life. " With each passing moment, a new page is turned in your book of life. The road represents the path that has never been traveled. The road represents an opportunity. Take advantage of that opportunity! Put the pedal to the floor, hold the wheel tight, and don't let anyone beat you to the finish line...
