Audi R8 Ad...(Required Blog)

The Audi A8 ad just BLEW me away during the Super Bowl. I thought it was such a great ad for so many reasons. Not only did Audi do a good job showing off the new wheels, but they did a great job setting up the perfect environment for the Audi A8 in the ad. Starting out with the old man in the bed who wakes up to a bad dream with a Rolls Royce front end in the bottom of his bed. Then right from that scene, BOOM!! The Audi R8 engine starts up sounding better than any cars engine ever has. The sounds of that baby starting was just beautiful and I am not a big Audi fan. A great one liner they had in there was "Old luxury just got put on notice," that is awesome! What a great ad! It seriously was one of the best ads I have ever seen, hands down.

The advertisement also has a great tertiary connection to it. On YouTube the ad is filled with comments below. There were a lot of comments referencing the ad to a take off from the movie Godfather, which I agree with. When the man wakes up in the bed in the Godfather he sees a horse's head at the bottom of the bed and in the ad it is replaced with a Rolls Royce front end. Many of the comments received were just references to how great the ad was in general. Many people commented that they thought it was a great advertisement and obviously they are impressed with the car. Another comment compared the Audi R8 to the great Lamborguinis, Porsches, Godfathers, etc.

The tertiary connection shown in the advertisement will have a direct impact on sales. The sales for this car will skyrocket. I don't know what the price was before the advertisement aired at the Super Bowl. I would assume though that the price has gone up because everyone who has the means to buy that car wants to take a serious look. The ad was an A advertisement during the Super Bowl. This ad helped give Audi a lot more credibility, as the ad in my opinion was nearly perfect.
